To keep your account secure, MemberClicks uses admin password standards that follow best practices and meet PCI compliance guidelines.
All admin passwords must meet the following criteria:
- At least 12 characters long
- Include at least one uppercase letter
- Include at least one lowercase letter
- Include at least one number
- Include at least one special character
- Must not match any of your last four passwords
- Must not match your username
- Must not be easy to guess or appear in common password databases
These requirements apply to all admin profiles and any member assigned to a group with admin permissions. If your current password does not meet these criteria, you must create a new one.
Tips for Creating a Strong Password
Longer passwords offer better security. Use these tips to create one that’s both strong and easy to remember:
- Use a lyric from a song or poem
- Choose a meaningful quote from a movie or speech
- Select a passage from a book
- Combine several personal or meaningful words
- Create an abbreviation using the first letter of each word in a sentence
- Avoid passwords that others could easily guess, especially information someone who knows you might guess
- Details visible on your social media or public profiles
Avoid Personal Information.
Don’t use details that others might know or easily find, such as names, birthdays, addresses, or phone numbers. This includes:
- Your nickname or initials
- Names of your child or pet
- Birthdays or important years
- Street names or address numbers
- Your phone number
Avoid Common Words and Patterns
- Stay away from simple or predictable combinations, such as common words or phrases like "password" or "letmein"
- Sequences like "1234" or "abcd"
- Keyboard patterns like "qwerty" or "qazwsx"
