Once you've created or loaded a Contact Center message, build it with the drag-and-drop tools on the right of the email preview. The Content section holds the elements you can add to your message.
Columns and blocks
When you drag columns in or select an existing row, a Row section appears on the right. To select just the row and not the content, select just outside the content so the blue highlight reaches the edge of the editor.
You can place content side by side in columns and change the background color, padding, and borders. For readability, limit to one or two columns—on mobile, columns stack on top of each other. You can also use the Blocks feature for a simple layout that drops placeholders into your message for you to fill.
Button
The first button setting is the action taken when it's selected. Linking to a website is the default—enter the full URL. You can also choose Send Email and enter an address (which opens the reader's default email client), or enter a phone number for calls or SMS. You can also set the background, outline, padding, and alignment; centered at automatic width is recommended for responsive design.
Divider
A divider adds a horizontal line between rows. Drag it between existing rows or to the bottom of the email to separate sections visually.
Heading
A heading is a block of text intended for email or section titles. Use a heading rather than enlarging a text block—a heading keeps its formatting as a recognized style, which improves responsiveness and consistency across sections.
Image
The image element lets you upload an image from your files or enter the URL of a hosted image. Drag the placeholder where you want it, then upload and configure the image on the right. With Auto-Width on, the image fills the width of its content block; you can also set a percentage width. The image always keeps its original proportions.
To use an image from the Media Manager, either re-upload it in the editor or copy its URL: in the Media Manager, right-click the image name and select Copy Image Address, then paste it into the Image URL field.
Menu
A menu bar displays hyperlinks in a clear, clickable row. Configure the text to display and the URL each item links to.
For longer emails, you can add an anchor link that jumps the reader to a specific place in the content.
Text
Text blocks make up most of your email content. Choose from web-optimized fonts and set formatting, bullet lists, and hyperlinks within the text, plus block-level settings on the right panel.
To include profile fields, select the Merge Tags dropdown in the toolbar. To add a hyperlink, use the Insert Link tool so the link is properly encoded for rendering and tracking—highlight your text, select the tool, and enter or paste the URL. Select Special Links to choose from your own site links (articles, forms, documents) instead.
Video
The video element embeds a video in the body of an email—add the video URL and it renders at an optimized size. Use it sparingly, with an otherwise simple layout, so it displays well across email clients. Only YouTube and Vimeo URLs render directly in the email.
