If auto-renewal payments fail with the error Payment declined: The processor is not set up for recurring payments, check each of the following. See auto-renew payments, for info on how auto-renew payments work.
- Member type settings. In the member type settings, confirm that auto-renew is set to Optional or Required. Improperly configured member type settings are a common cause of this error.
- Payment processor setup. Auto-renew must be enabled in your payment processor account (Payroc, Moolah, or Authorize.net). Credit card information is stored with your payment processor, not in MC Professional. Contact your payment processor to confirm this setting is active.
- Customer vault. Each merchant account must have a customer vault enabled. Contact your payment processor to verify this setting is active.
- API permissions. MC Professional uses an API integration for payment processing, and the API username must have access to your payment processor's customer vault. If the API username lacks this access, auto-payments fail. Contact your payment processor to confirm the API is configured correctly.
