From the Profile List page, export member data to an external spreadsheet. All exports in MC Professional are available to download as a .csv file on the Reporting > Exports page. For example, to pull a complete list of member email addresses, export all member profiles with the email attribute selected. Then download the .csv file from the Exports page.
Exporting member profile data
- Select Profile List in your administrator backend.
- Tag the member profiles you want to export. To tag profiles individually, select the checkbox next to each member's name. Select TAG THIS PAGE to tag the entire visible page, or TAG ALL to tag every profile in your current list. Your list may differ based on your search criteria—see Profile list and advanced search.
- Select the Actions menu, then Export Profiles. All tagged profiles are included in your profile export.
-
In the Export Profiles window, select the Select a saved attribute set or create a new set dropdown menu to determine which attributes to include in your export file.
The dropdown menu includes these default attribute sets, plus any saved attribute sets in your database:
- Create New or Ad Hoc: Select whichever attributes to include in your export. A dropdown menu with all attributes in your database displays—select each attribute to include.
- All Attributes: Exports every attribute in your database.
- System Default: Includes only the 6 default built-in attributes: Name, Contact Name, Email Address, Address, Phone Number, and Organization.
- After you select the attribute set, complete the remaining options:
- Enter a name in the Export Name field.
- Decide whether to Save this attribute set for future use. This is handy with the Create New or Ad Hoc option.
- Decide whether to select Include profile ID in the export. The profile ID is a unique identifier that differentiates members in your database.
- Decide whether to select Include profile notes in the export. These are the notes found in the Notes tab of each member's profile.
- Decide whether to select Include renewal status in the export. This confirms whether the member is in their renewal period and can renew their membership.
- Select EXPORT when you're finished.
What if I can't see the export name field or export button?
If you select the Create New or Ad Hoc option, a dropdown list of all attributes in your database displays. This can cover the Export Name field and EXPORT button on your screen.
To close the dropdown menu, select anywhere above the attribute list within the Export Profiles window. For example, select next to the Create a list of attributes to export title.
Downloading your export file
- In your administrator backend, go to Reporting > Exports.
- Select DOWNLOAD FILE to download a .csv file to your computer. All exports performed in your MC Professional account are available in this section. Open and view your export using a third-party solution like Microsoft Excel.
