Packages
Can I control who has access to my Classroom content?
Yes, Classroom uses Group permissions to restrict access. Visit Classroom - SSO Configuration and Group Permissioning for more information.
Can we charge for our courses?
Yes, but for users integrated with MC professional, MC Trade, or WildApricot, payment must be established in your AMS. For example, you can set-up a form in MC Professional to collect payment then add the member to a group with permission to access your Classroom package. Visit Classroom - Using MC Professional forms to collect payment and add members to groups for more information.
How do I display courses to users?
After you've created a course, you can add it to a package so that users can access the course. Visit Classroom - Setup Step 2 - Building & Packaging a Course for more information.
What file types can we add to our lessons?
You can include MP4 files for videos, MP3 for audio, and PDF and PPT files for documents.
Are there file size restrictions?
Yes, file size restrictions are as follows:
- 1 GB for media files.
- 25 MB for movies attached to text content areas.
- 20 MB for assessment materials and lesson materials.
Why is my package still accessible to members after I deactivated it?
When a package is deactivated, or the end date has passed, the package remains accessible to Classroom users who have unfinished content within the package. To stop users from accessing the package, remove all group access from the package and add an inactive group that users don’t have access to. There is no way to completely remove the package from a user's My courses section unless you delete the package. However, deleting a package removes all reports attached to it.
How do I re-order courses within a package?
To re-order courses within a package, check off courses in your list then click Save at the bottom of the screen. This action moves the selected course to the top of the list. Re-enter the package and repeat the process until you have your courses listed in the desired order. If the courses are already in the correct order, you can check off courses as normal and they will remain in that order.
How do I promote courses to members who don't have permission to access the course?
You can use the Public Description text box to display a description to users who don’t have group access to the course. This will disappear for users once they're granted group access. To ensure the public description displays on your website, check off the Summary visible for all option.
Why can't I log in through the guest portal?
Guest login doesn't work for Classroom accounts integrated with MC professional, MC Trade, or WildApricot. You can only use this option if you're a standalone user.
Why isn't the description and photo of my course showing to users on my website?
If 2 or more courses are included in a package, the Bundle long description, Bundle short description and Bundle image pulls from the package information - not the course information. The descriptions and image of the course won't display on your front-end website. You must add the desired descriptions and image to the package. Since more than 1 course is included in the package, the system cannot confirm which to pull from.
Why can't I restrict access to a course within a package?
There is no option to restrict access to specific courses within a package, the user either has access to the entire package or not.
Can I delete a course in Classroom?
To delete a course, all content within the course must be deleted first, otherwise the Delete button appears greyed out. To begin, delete all lessons and assessments. Then, the chapters must be deleted. After the chapters are deleted, the option to delete the course displays.
Assessments
Why can't I delete an assessment?
Assessments and questions can’t be deleted after a user has taken an exam. If you're going to create a test assessment, make sure to use the exam for your live version.
Why can't I edit a question in an assessment?
After an assessment is taken, questions cannot be edited from the assessment settings. To edit questions, go to Learning Center > Courses. under the Details column, click the dropdown arrow. Click on the hyperlinked question that needs to be edited. On the following page, you can edit the question but it cannot be deleted.

For accounts integrated with MC Professional, MC Trade, or WildApricot, in People > Users you cannot use CSV Upload button for any reason. Users imported this way may no longer be able to access your Classroom account.
Can I add users through Classroom?
In People > Users, Classroom accounts integrated with MC Professional, MC Trade, or WildApricot should not use the Add user option. Always add members from your AMS. Even if the member is outside of your AMS's database, this feature is not recommended. If the user is added to your AMS in the future, they may encounter issues logging in to Classroom.
Can I edit user details in Classroom?
Accounts integrated with MC Professional, MC Trade, or WildApricot should never edit user details in Classroom - especially passwords and emails. These details must be edited in your AMS.

The option to Use Login page as Homepage can’t be checked off for users integrated with MC professional, MC Trade, or WildApricot. This will break the login page.
Can I access payment gateway settings through Classroom?
Users integrated with MC Professional, MC Trade, and WildApricot cannot use the payment gateway settings in Classroom. Payments can only be taken in Classroom for standalone clients. Integrated users must take payment through forms or events in their AMS.
Can I access registration fields?
Registration fields can be used for MC Professional and WildApricot integrated users. For MC Trade integrated users, Classroom cannot pull the registration information and this setting cannot be set to required. MC Professional clients can use custom fields, but this requires copying the attribute exactly as it's worded in their AMS and the attributes must have the Visible checkbox checked off.
Can I create a menu item without a link associated with it?
The Menu builder cannot have a menu item that isn’t linked. Admins can either link tags or site pages to the menu item. To add pages, the client must first add the page in Settings.
Why aren't my images displaying correctly?
If the image has been uploaded but isn’t showing correctly on the upload page, or is showing blank, refresh the page and it should work correctly. If it isn’t, the file type or size is incorrect.
Groups
Can I use the settings in People Management?
In Groups > People Management, this option is available for all accounts, but can only be used effectively by standalone accounts. Accounts Integrated with MC Professional, MC Trade, or WildApricot cannot use the CSV import feature. Groups added to users are unchecked when they login because this information is pulled and read from your AMS. The same issue occurs when assigning groups manually to users in Classroom.
Can I add members to groups through Classroom?
If your account is integrated with MC Professional, MC Trade, or WildApricot, users must be added to groups in the AMS. Event names also work from MC Trade as a group. These codes must be copied correctly, no extra spaces, capitalized letters, this will make the group not work. Always check off the visibility option, or the group isn’t active. For integrated accounts, groups must always be assigned in the AMS.
Does a member need access to all groups to access a course?
A user only needs access to one group on the list of permitted groups in the package. Even if 10 groups are assigned, just 1 group is required for a user to access the course or package.
How does the report Columns button work?
Every report has a Columns button. Click this option to view additional fields that can be added to, or removed from, the report.
Continuing education certificates and units
Can we add certificates to our Courses?
Yes, you can grant your users certificates after the completion of a lesson or assessment. Visit Classroom - How to Create a Certificate for more information.
How do CEUs populate in my AMS?
For CEUs to transfer between Classroom and your AMS, they must be labelled exactly the same on both sides.
Why can't my members access their CEUs?
CEU conditions should not be set for Prerequisite course requirements unless your Classroom account has been active for some time. Most users won’t have CEUs on their accounts and this will prevent the user from completing or accessing the content.
How do I edit certificate fields and allow fields to be populated from Classroom?
To edit certificates, we recommend using Adobe Acrobat Pro. You must also allow fields to be populated from Classroom. Go to Learning Center > Certificates > New to see the list of fields that can be pulled in as long as you have the fields available in Classroom. Depending on whether or not your account is integrated with MC Professional, MC Trade, or WildApricot, your AMS may not be able to pull in all items.
What are Session conditions?
Session conditions set for CEUs or Certificates mean that all of those lessons and assessments must be completed for the certificate to be issued to a user.
Can I reuse a certificate for another course?
Clients cannot reuse the same certificate. If a user has already been awarded the certificate, it won’t re-issue to the user. You must create a new certificate to issue to the user. The same certificate file can be used, but it has to be pulled in again as a new certificate.
How does an expiration date work with a certificate?
Expiration dates will give users a warning that the certificate validity is about to expire - it does not remove the certificate from the user's account.
Emails
Why are my emails being cut-off?
Emails can only go five lines deep or they will be cut-off In the member's email client.
Videos
How do video percentage requirements work?
The Require x% for completion option for videos should not be set to 100%. The system is aware if the user skips any part of a video and if .1 seconds aren’t watched, the user cannot pass the course. Setting the percentage requirement to 90% is recommended.
What do I do if my video is too large?
