Individual members are not linked to any other profile in your database. Individual member types contain the built-in attributes (name, email, address, phone) and any custom attributes you assign. Each member is responsible for paying their own dues, updating their own profile, and registering for events.

Configuring renewal settings
Renewal Payment and Membership & Expiration Settings are inherited from your default member type settings. If this member type needs different settings, update the defaults before creating the member type.
-
Under Renewal Settings, set Auto Renewals to Off, Required, or Optional.
Note: Before enabling Auto-Renewals, confirm your payment processor is configured to support them. See Auto-Renew for details. - Select Define Renewal Paths to control whether members of this type can switch to a different member type during renewal.
- Toggle Renew from Member Profile on or off. When enabled, members see a dropdown to either generate a renewal invoice in their profile or redirect to a URL (such as your renewal form).
Configuring pricing settings
Period of time memberships
Select Add a Duration to include multi-year or lifetime membership options on your application and renewal form. These options are also available when members renew from their profile.
Date-based memberships
Enter the full membership price for a full year, or prorate fees based on when a member joins. Set the date membership rolls over into the next year.
Multi-year pricing is available for date-based memberships. Prices in the multi-year section apply to subsequent years. Lifetime memberships can also be created here and ignore the base membership price.
Advanced pricing
Select Enable Advanced Pricing to add pricing rules based on attribute values. These rules are added to the base membership price.
