Google Analytics setup guide
Google Analytics is a free tool from Google that tracks and reports website traffic. You can connect it to your MC Professional site to see detailed statistics about your visitors.
How the integration works
MC Professional's built-in settings do not automatically support Google Analytics 4 (GA4). Instead, you will gather your tracking code from Google and email it to us at help@memberclicks.com. Our support team will add it to your site for you.
Part 1: Create a Google Analytics account
If you don't have a Google Analytics account yet, follow these steps to create one. If you already have an account, skip to Part 2.
- Go to the Google Analytics website and log in with your Google account.
- Click Admin (the gear icon).
- Click Create Account and enter your organization's name, then click Next.
- Enter a Property Name (like your organization's name) and click Next.
- Fill out your business details and objectives, then click Next.
- When asked to choose a platform to collect data, select Web.
- Enter your Website URL and a Stream Name (like "Main Website").
- Click Create Stream.
Part 2: Get your GA4 Code and ID
Once your web stream is created, copy the specific codes our support team needs to complete your setup.
- In Google Analytics, go to Admin > Data Streams and select your website stream.
- Find your Measurement ID at the top right (it looks like G-XXXXXXXXXX) and copy it.
- In the Web stream details window, click View tag instructions at the bottom.
- Click the Install manually tab.
- Copy the entire block of code displayed on the screen (this is your Google tag code snippet).
Part 3: Send your code to our Support Team
To finish the setup, get in touch with our Support Team with the following information:
- Your organization's name or Organization ID
- Your Measurement ID (the G- code)
- The copied Google tag code snippet
Our support team will apply the code to your backend settings and reply to confirm when your website tracking is live.
