About Job Board
Job Board is an optional add-on for your MC Professional product. It is structured as a revenue share with no cost to your organization. For more details, see Job Board: Everything You Need to Know. To add Job Board to your account, fill out the form on the Job Board page.
Viewing the Job Board
Your job board displays job postings in chronological order from oldest to newest. The pricing that you configure in Settings displays alongside the job listings.
Setting admin access
Job Board admin access is based on your admin access in MC Professional. If you have admin access in MC Professional, you have admin access to Job Board when you sign in with the same credentials.
- Select Log In.
- Enter your MC Professional ASA or Admin login credentials.
After you sign in, admins see the same menu items that job posters see, plus the Manage button.
Settings
To configure your job board, go to Manage > Settings. The Settings area has these options:
Pricing and eligible member types
Set your prices, choose which member types receive member pricing, and configure discount codes.
Pricing
Employers select a posting duration of 30, 60, or 90 days, or purchase a bundle of job posts. They can also pay more to make any individual post Featured.
Admins must configure pricing for each duration and for any bundles they want to offer. The Member Types & Bundles area has these settings:
- The price for each individual post, per duration
- Bundle options
- The price for Featured Listings
- The member types that receive member pricing
When an employer purchases a bundle, they post the first job in the bundle at that time. The remaining credits stay on their account for future use. Configure up to 3 different bundles per duration, with a maximum of 5 posts per bundle.
Best practices
- Charge the right prices for your board and industry. Your members and job seekers are a valuable audience for employers, so price posts accordingly. It’s easier to lower prices over time than to start low and raise them.
- Charge both members and non-members. Member pricing should be discounted, but not free.
- Charge a premium for Featured posts. Featured jobs are highlighted, showcased first on the board, and pushed through to the Google Jobs Network.
Member types
After you set your pricing, choose which member types receive member pricing. Pricing can be changed at any time.
- Select Add Member Types.
- Select the member types that receive member pricing.
Discount codes
After you set your pricing and identify the member types that receive member pricing, configure discount codes. A code can apply to the Base Price, Bundled Price, Featured Price, or a combination of them, as a percentage of the total. Employers enter the discount code on the payment screen when they purchase their postings.
- Select Add A Discount Code.
- Fill in the details for your discount code.
- Select Save.
Set the status to Published to make the code usable right away. Set it to Unpublished to make it unavailable to posters. When a code expires or reaches its usage limit, it moves to Archive status. To find archived codes, select the Show Archived Codes checkbox.
Industry types
To customize the industry options that employers can choose from, select Industry Types. Remove an industry type that has no associated postings by selecting the x next to its name. Add an industry type by selecting Add a New Industry Type.
