What are security policies?
MC Professional implements security measures to safeguard your information and protect data privacy. Organizations are also responsible for creating and posting their own privacy policies, terms of use, and refund policies on their websites. Making these policies publicly available shows members that their information is protected and helps your organization meet global data protection requirements.
If your policies are already written, skip to Posting your policies.

Terms of use
What are terms of use?
Terms of use — also called "terms and conditions" or "terms of service" — are legal agreements that outline the rules and conditions governing use of a website. Organizations use these agreements to protect their interests, establish guidelines for user behavior, and mitigate legal risks. Depending on the wording, users may indicate consent simply by continuing to use the website.

Refund policy
What is a refund policy?
A refund policy outlines your organization's terms for reimbursing a purchase or payment when a member requests a return of funds. It typically specifies eligibility criteria, the timeframe, the method of reimbursement, and any applicable conditions. A clear refund policy establishes transparency and trust in financial transactions between your organization and its members.

Posting your policies
-
Create a policy center page
Add a menu item to serve as a policy center. Include each policy's content directly on the page, or add sub-menu items beneath the parent for each individual policy. -
Add links from your home page
Insert links to your policies or terms of use from your organization's home page. -
Add a consent checkbox to forms
On a form, add a Label element with a link to your policy, then add a Selection Set element with a checkbox confirming the member has read and accepts the terms. Mark it as a required field if consent is mandatory. This lets members provide consent when applying for membership or registering for events. See Creating and configuring forms for details. -
Install a Termly consent banner
