About cache and cookies
Cookies are files created by websites you visit to make your browsing smoother by saving data. Your browser's cache remembers parts of pages, like images, to help them open faster the next time you visit.
Sometimes, outdated cache and cookies can cause website loading or formatting issues. Clearing them is often the best first step to fix these technical glitches.
Clearing cache and cookies in Google Chrome
- Open Google Chrome on your computer.
- Click the More icon (three vertical dots) in the top-right corner of the screen.
- Select Delete browsing data.
- Choose a time range from the drop-down menu (such as Last hour or All time).
- Check the boxes next to Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files.
- Click Delete data.
