This article explains how to add CEUs to courses in Classroom and how CEUs flow into an MC Professional learner’s profile.
In Reporting > Continuing Education, download a DETAILED CSV report of all continuing education records in your database. It includes additional fields beyond the BASIC CSV report. For more information, see Continuing education report.

Adding a CEU to a course
All CEUs are awarded at the course level.
- Go to Learning Center > Courses.
- Select the blue pencil icon next to a course.
- In the course configuration area, select Add CEU.
- In the CEU Type dropdown, select a CEU you previously created. To create a new CEU type, keep Add new CEU type selected.
- For a new CEU type, enter a name and fill out the other applicable fields described in the table that follows.
| Field | Description |

| Type Name | The name of the CEU. If you use MC Professional, match the name exactly to the CEU category name in MC Professional. This makes the CEU flow into the learner’s MC Professional profile when they earn it. |
| Units | The number of units earned for this CEU type for this course. The same CEU type can be assigned to multiple courses, with a different number of units for each. |
| Expiration Days | The number of days after which earned credits expire, if the CEUs for the course expire after a set time. For example, enter 365 if earned credits expire 1 year after the learner earns them. |
Managing CEUs
- Go to Learning Center > CEU Management.
- Select the pencil icon next to a CEU to edit its name or expiration period.
Note: A CEU that is assigned to a course can’t be deleted. To delete it, first delete the CEU from the course, then delete it in the CEU Management area.
Flowing earned CEUs into MC Professional profiles
To record CEUs earned in Classroom automatically on a learner’s profile in MC Professional, create the CEU category in MC Professional first. After the category exists, create the same CEU type in Classroom.
Caution: The name of the CEU in MC Professional must match exactly the name in Classroom, including capitalization and spacing. Mismatches don’t flow back to MC Professional profiles.
