Uploading a certificate
Prerequisite: Create your certificate and prepare the PDF with merge fields. For steps, see Classroom - How to Create a Certificate.
- In Classroom, go to Learning Center > Certificates.
- Select New.
- Enter a title for the certificate. Use a name that shows at a glance which course the certificate belongs to.
- Upload your certificate PDF.
- Complete the other fields described in the table that follows.
- Select Save.
After you save, the certificate appears in the list of available certificates. When a learner meets the conditions, they receive an email with the certificate. Learners also see all of their certificates under My Account > My Certificates.
Certificate settings
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Email Message | The text in the email that learners receive with their certificate file. |
| Conditions - Sessions | The sessions that a learner must complete to earn the certificate. Session conditions use AND logic, not OR logic. A learner must complete everything you list. For example, if you list 2 sessions, the learner must complete both to get the certificate. |
| Conditions - CEs | The CEs that a learner must have earned to receive the certificate. CE conditions also use AND logic: the learner must have earned all of the CEs you list. |
| Expiration | Whether the certificate expires. If it does, enter how many days until it expires after being earned. Also choose whether learners receive a reminder about the expiring certificate, and when reminders are sent. |
Note: The Conditions - CEs field sets which CEs a learner must already have to earn a certificate. It does not award CEs. Award CEs at the course configuration level. For steps, see Classroom - Continuing Education Credits.
