Menu items are the navigation tabs on your site's home page. Selecting a menu item takes visitors to the article page it's linked to. This article covers how to link a menu item to an article, whether you're creating a new menu item or editing an existing one.
Note: Only published articles can be linked to menu items. If you haven't created the article yet, see Creating an article before continuing.
To link articles to menu items, follow these steps:
-
Open your menu set
Go to Website > Menu Manager and select the menu set you want to edit (most organizations use "Main Menu" or "Primary Menu"). -
Open or create a menu item
Select an existing menu item's name to edit it, or select New in the top toolbar to create one. If editing an existing item, skip to step 4. -
Select the item type
Select Article Content, then select Single Article. -
Choose your article
Select Select next to the "Select an Article" field. A list of your published articles appears — select the article you want to link. -
Finish and save
Give the menu item a title and set group access permissions as needed, then select Save.
Note: If an article doesn't appear in the list, check that it's set to Published in the article settings.
