Multiple profiles with the same key field
If you conduct an import and there are multiple profiles with the same key field in your database, you will receive the error message below.
We recommend using username as your key field, so duplicate records are less likely. However, this process will work for whichever key field you're using.
To locate these duplicate records, navigate to Profile List. Add then fill in the attribute [Username], or the attribute for whichever key field you're using. Run separate searches for both active and deleted profiles. To search for deleted profiles, select Deleted profiles only.
Hover over each duplicate profile and select View Profile. Edit their profile and update or remove the key field. Since you cannot leave the username field blank, change it to something different.
Once you remove or change the key field for all duplicate profiles, re-import your spreadsheet. For more information on profile import reports, see our help article here.
