From an individual's profile, community members can easily message or post on the member's profile newsfeed, as well as see what someone looks like in their profile picture. Community members can learn information about fellow members, including shared interests, areas of expertise, and professional information.
From the individual profile header, community members can perform the following:
- View the individual member's profile photo and cover photo
- View the individual member's name
- View the individual member's primary organization
You can hover over the organization name to see more information, or you can click the organization name to view the organization's profile. - View the individual member's first three badges
- Request to add the member as a friend
Alternatively, if you have already requested the member as a friend, the friend status will display as Pending. You can select the Pending drop-down to cancel the friend request.If a member has requested to be your friend, the friend status will display as Pending. You can select the Pending drop-down to accept or deny the friend request.
- Send the user a private in-community message
Friends
The Friends section of the individual profile displays the list of friends for that community user. You can sort the Friends section using the same sort criteria as the Member Directory.
From the Friends section, you can also view additional information about each of the member's friends.
The people icon displays the number of friends that community member has. You can click the hyperlinked people icon to see a list of that member's friends. The star icon displays the number of points the member has.
You can request to add the member as a friend by selecting the Add Friend button, or you can send the member a private message using the Message button.
If you have already requested the member as a friend, the friend status will display as Pending. You can select the Pending drop-down to cancel the friend request.

You can also navigate to the individual profile for each member by clicking the hyperlinked member name.
About Me
The About Me section of the individual profile displays various biography information based on the criteria set by the community administrator. You can click hyperlinked information to perform a site-wide search on that criteria, allowing you to quickly find other members or information related to a specific topic.
When looking at your own profile, you can also edit the information that displays in the About Me section. Community administrators can also edit this information.

Newsfeed
Posts created at the top of the individual member's profile newsfeed will be shown to the entire community on the sitewide newsfeed as well as in the profile newsfeed. This is an easy way for members to ask questions and share content and ideas with another member without needing to create a full forum post.
Badges
The Badges section of the individual profile will only display if the community member has any earned or assigned badges. You can hover over each badge to view additional information on the badge.
Groups
The Groups section of the individual profile displays the groups that the community member belongs to. The Groups list is sorted alphabetically by Group Name by default. Hidden groups will not display unless the user that is looking at the community member's profile is also a member of the hidden group.
You can use the search field at the top of the Groups section to search within the member's groups.
