12/13/16
What's New
- The invoices associated with membership transactions through forms will now indicate whether the the member joined or renewed in the invoice description and transaction report.
Fixes
- When taking a form on behalf of a user, the "prevent confirmation emails" option was not working for some organizations. This has been fixed.
- We've corrected the logic around address fields that are required to better support international members. Previously, it was impossible to deselect a value in the "state" and "country" fields for organization profiles. We've corrected the issue so organizational profiles and individual profiles function the same way and support deselecting values in those fields.
- Member types based on an attribute value for pricing were not forcing that attribute to be a required field during membership join or renewal forms. These fields will now always be required in the membership section for the base price of the membership.
- In some situations, forms with multiple pages were automatically scrolling to the bottom of pages after leaving page 1. That doesn't happen anymore.
- Invoice logos were not loading in Firefox after a recent update. Now they do.
11/22/16
What's New
- Administrators can now view and change a form’s status from the form list.
Fixes
- Some forms were not allowing administrators to set the payment processor at the field level. We’ve fixed the issue so field-specific payment processors can be set on all forms.
- We corrected an issue with the display of built-in fields within the organization section of membership forms. Previously, the spacing and error messages for skipped required fields were not properly rendering.
11/8/16
What's New
- The help icon in the top administrative toolbar has been relocated to the bottom right corner of the administrative interface. This move consolidates help center access with the in-app guides and resources available within MemberClicks.
- We've added pending members to the admin home dashboard. If your organization has one member type that requires approval, you will now see pending members on the dashboard. No more need to run an advanced search to find those profiles.
- Similar to the above, we've also added logic so graced members only appear on the dashboard if at least one member type includes a grace period.
- We've simplified the code that runs the profile import so file uploads and processing will take less time.
- Event permissions can now be set when adding or editing an event, without navigating to the permissions page.
- Members who were not eligible to renew (commonly because they had already renewed that year), attempting to take a renewal form were previously advanced to the confirmation page, and could receive a confirmation email, depending on the form settings. This created a lot of confusion for members and administrators alike, so we have added messaging to inform the members. We will also prevent submissions from being created and confirmation emails from being sent when the renewal section is the only purpose of the form.
Fixes
- In the Contact Center, the list of recipients previously sorted by First Name then Last Name, unlike the other areas of MemberClicks. We've updated the sort order to be consistent: Last Name then First Name.
10/25/16
What’s New
- We’ve updated the descriptions for automatically generated dues invoices to include the upcoming membership period date. By way of example:
Previously, an invoice description for a Professional member renewing through 12/31/17 read: "Membership Renewal - Professional"
Will now read: "Membership Renewal - Professional (through December 31, 2017)"
This update impacts new automated renewal invoices moving forward and does not update the descriptions of existing invoices.
- When creating new event sections within forms, we will now default the capacity limit setting to disable the entire form rather than just the section. Typically this setting is better when the form only has one event section and that has proven to be the far more common usage. Existing forms and event sections are not affected by this change.
- When viewing transaction descriptions in Moolah or Authorize.net, you will now see the amount per line item after the item description.
Fixes
- The awkward scrolling and paging behaviors on the View Registrants page have been fixed.
- On the membership report, we will now include the linked profiles as their own member type. Previously, these member types were not calculated on the report. Note that this update is not retroactive because we were not saving the data for linked member types.
10/11/16
What’s New
- We’ve updated the rules around which profiles can be on a committee. Now you can make any profile the isn’t marked as deleted a committee member, including profiles in lapsed or pending status.
- Back in September we added the ability for key contacts to edit their linked organization profiles. We’ve enhanced this functionality so key contacts can also update the organization’s profile picture, in addition to updating attributes.
- The last renewal date attribute can now be configured within attribute security. Previously, only ASAs could have full access to this attribute. Now, view and edit access can be granted per group, similar to other attributes.
Fixes
- For offline payments, the transaction report previously listed the payment method (cash, check, etc) in the description column and the payment method column was left empty. We’ve corrected the issue so future transactions will display the item description in the description column and the payment method displays in the payment method column. This fix also corrects the same issue in CSV exports.
- Creating Ad Hoc invoices from an organization profile was causing an error which prevented the invoice from being created. We’ve resolved the error so you can create ad hoc invoices from organization profiles.
- When copying events, group permissions were not included in the copied version. We now copy over the permissions too.
- We corrected an issue that caused selection set options to display out of order when configuring date-based and discount code pricing within the form builder.
- When viewing the organization section of a linked individual profile from the admin interface, the link to the organization’s email address was not formatted correctly, causing the link not to work. The formatting has been fixed and the link now works.
- Inserting images and site links to items within the media manager that were nested in folders beyond three layers didn’t work. The insert image and site link modals can now access items nested beyond three levels in the media manager.
- On the front-end, the committee files tab was not accessible until an administrator had uploaded at least one file from the administrative interface, causing confusion for committee members. The files tab will now be available to committee members, whether it already has contents or not.
- Recipients for scheduled contact center messages were not available through the message report. Now they are.
- Some multi-day events displayed the duration as a decimal. We now only display these as whole numbers.
- When a member is changed to the prospect member type, we’ll automatically make the profile’s status active so she or he is able to re-join the organization. Previously, prospects could maintain another status, such as lapsed, which prevented them from re-joining or renewing without administrative involvement.
- When admins take forms on behalf of a member and opt-into auto-renew, we'll now only display the Pay Now payment option so the member is enrolled in auto-renew correctly upon form submission.
9/27/16
What’s New
- Directory Search Pages allow administrators to customize which attributes are available to front-end users (public or members). Proximity searching is now also available as search criteria, allowing visitors to search the directory by geographic location. Read more about Directory Search Pages and proximity searching here.
- API Management is now available to all Authorized Service Administrators through the account settings page. Previously, all API updates had to be made through the Help Team; this update enables more efficient self service.
Fixes
-
When sending messages from the contact center, if the From field contained an ampersand, it was displaying as HTML when received by recipients. We now correctly handle the ampersand character.
- Text on the global check-in summary page was unintentionally being displayed in a large font size. We’ve corrected the issue so the font size is consistent with the rest of the administrative interface.
- Menu items with apostrophes were not being correctly handled by the site links feature. We now handle those menu items just like all the others.
- When creating an ad hoc invoice, if the invoice contained multiple line items and quotation marks in the description, the text after the quotation marks would not be saved upon invoice creation. We now properly handle this scenario so the text after quotation makes isn’t lost.
- An error was being thrown when an administrator changed a profile’s member type to a member type with fewer assigned attributes. An error will no longer be thrown when making this change.
- There was an issue affecting dues invoices for organizational members when the organization had many linked profiles (typically 50+). Because we were listing out each linked profile on the invoice, the number of characters being added to the description exceeded the allotted space for the description. To fix it, we've added a check to make sure the number of characters is less than 1000. If it is, we proceed as we did by listing each of the individuals in the description. If it's more than 1000 characters, the description will list the total number of linked profiles, rather than each name.
9/13/16
What’s New
- We’ve added the ability to create ad hoc invoices when viewing a single profile.
- Key contacts can now update their linked organization profile as well as linked individuals. We’ve added a new attribute security page specifically for key contacts. This new feature allows administrators to set which additional attributes a key contact can see and view about the linked organization and linked individual profiles.
Fixes
- When setting the start publishing or finish publishing dates for an article, the title text was much too big. We’ve brought it down to a more appropriate size.
- If multiple media manager folders had the same name, the second folder couldn’t be accessed in the site links modal or the insert media modal. We’ve fixed the issue so both the first and second folders are accessible through site links and the insert media modal.
- When viewing the members tab within elist management, neither sorting by contact name or email address were working correctly. Now they do.
- When creating ad hoc invoices, the revenue account is no longer a required field.
8/30/16
What's New
- Improved password reset when multiple profiles have the same email address. Prior to this update, when a user entered an email address on the forgot password page and that email address was in multiple profiles, the system instructed the user to contact the admin to reset the password. This created unnecessary work for administrators fielding phone calls, so we've added a new workflow for this scenario. The email that we send the user will now have a link for each profile that has the matching email address, allowing the user to choose which profile's password they would like to reset.
- Attribute-based pricing that multiplied a value against an attribute only supported four decimal places. We've increased this to support up to ten decimal places.
Fixes
- If an organizational member lapsed, the linked profiles were still receiving their member-type pricing benefit. These lapsed users will now receive public pricing, just like lapsed individual members.
- When viewing the registrant list, sorting by date was not functioning correctly. Now it does.
- When copying forms, not all of the form field properties were copying. We've fixed the following field properties so they are included in the form copy: (1) the display of Time on time/date fields, (2) invoice line item text for payment fields, (3) built-in fields within organizational membership sections.
- Join Date was not displaying on front-end profiles even with attribute security enabled. Now it does.
- The administrative interface appeared to allow the Public group to post to forums. The interface now matches the function where the public is prevented from posting to forums.
- The organizational membership area in the form builder included duplicate settings for making a built-in address field required. It now only displays one setting to make these fields required.
- If three or more partial payments were made to a single line item on an invoice, the sale transaction in the transaction report remained in Open status, even if the line item was fully paid. Partial payments that complete the sale now appropriately trigger the status change in the transaction report.
8/18/16
What's New
- Instant Search is now available to all administrators, making it faster and more convenient to access profiles.
8/10/16
What's New
- The calculation for the due date of invoices that contain a renewal line item has been updated. It didn't make a lot of sense to have an invoice for renewals based on the invoice template's due date, so we've updated it to pull from the profile's expiration date. This update applies to renewal invoices generated by the system as well as those created when viewing a single profile and renewal invoices created by members submitting forms.
Note: Existing invoices are not impacted by this update. Only invoices created in the future will inherit the profile's expiration date as the due date.
- When administrators add an individual profile through the admin interface, the system prevents duplicate usernames from being created. When a duplicate username is found, we now provide a link to that profile so it is easier to make a change, if necessary.
Fixes
- When enabled, the membership section in forms always displayed to renewing members, even if the toggle to display it to renewing members was turned off. We now respect the setting to toggle off the membership section for members in their renewal period.
- When a profile was edited for the first time, we were incorrectly recording empty attributes as having been modified in the "latest changes to attributes" view. for future edits, we will now exclude empty attributes from the view since they aren't really being changed.
8/4/16
What's New
- Join Date is is now available in attribute security and profile owner attribute security. With this addition, ASAs can give permission for administrators to export the Join Date field, it can also be merged in directory templates, articles and email templates for member viewing.
- The Key Contact designation can now be exported by administrators and ASAs for organizations with organizational member types.
- Now Linked Profile IDs can also be exported by administrators and ASAs for organizations with organizational member types.
- We've added a workflow for members to be able to reset their passwords after logging in. Under the My Profile menu, they will see the option to change their password. Previously, the ability to reset a password was only available to users prior to logging in.
- The Last Renewal Date attribute can now be edited by administrators. Previously, this attribute could only be edited through data imports or updated by the system.
Fixes
- When editing a profile on the front-end, if a required attribute was skipped, the custom attributes weren't saving when the required field was populated. Now they do.
- Not all domains were properly working with the Google Maps API for calendar events. We've updated the integration with Google Maps so all domains properly display the map when configured for a calendar event.
- When downloading event details as an iCal file, the time zone setting was being ignored. We now respect the time zone settings in the iCal file.
- If an administrator updated a saved profile list and saved it again with the same name, the updated list returned zero results. We now return the correct results after the update.
- Apostrophes in the From Name in account settings prevented the contact center from loading. The contact center now loads even if there is an apostrophe in this field.
8/2/16
What's New
- We've added an easier way to get to the advanced search modal. From anywhere within the admin interface, click the Search button in the top right corner and you will see a link to the advanced search, in addition to the existing search option.
- Administrators can now receive notifications when payments are made to invoices. To set this up:
- For invoice templates: Financials > Invoices > Invoice Templates > edit an invoice template > edit the payment notification email > add an email address in the additional email recipients field
- For dues payments: Database > Member Types > click edit notifications (each member type will need to be configured separately) > edit the payment confirmation email > add an email address in the additional email recipients field
- The date pickers for the event calendar have been updated to match the date pickers you're used to seeing when editing profiles.
- We've updated the color of the edit buttons on the admin view of the profile to increase their visibility.
Fixes
- Committee members using Firefox would occasionally run into issues uploading files to the committee feature. We've resolved the cause of the issue so files will upload smoothly, regardless of browser.
- When inserting links to files using the site links, the link text was left blank when no text was highlighted in the editor. We now default the text to the file name, similar to the other tabs within site links.
- Saved messages that had a trailing space in the subject were creating new messages rather than presenting the option to create new or overwrite. We now automatically remove trailing spaces for saved messages so this issue won't happen when saving.
- When viewing credit memos generated through submission edits, the memo appeared like an invoice. We've corrected the inconsistency so the credit memos viewed through a submission appear as credit memos, just as they do when viewing them from the invoice list.
- Ad hoc invoices created for organization profiles have not been consistently associating with the organization profile. We've reworked how these are created to resolve the issue.
- We weren't properly formatting the CSV file for exports which broke the formatting of special characters in the file. We've fixed this issue. However, there's an important note for Excel users: for Excel to properly handle special characters from the CSV, use the following instructions:
- Save the exported from MC as a CSV
- Open a new workbook in Excel
- In the 'File' menu, choose "Import"
- Choose 'CSV file' as the file type to import
- Browse your computer for the saved file from MC
- In the import wizard, choose 'Delimited' (the file is delimited by commas) and choose the 'File origin' as UTF-8
- Make sure the preview matches your expectations and click 'Finish'
These steps aren't fun for anyone, so we'll be exploring better exporting options in the future, but we wanted to get the formatting of our file correct first.
7/19/16
What’s New
- We’ve added the ability to search based on the Key Contact designation. Near the bottom of the attribute list in the advanced search modal, you’ll now see the option to search for Key Contacts.
- The admin profile search now supports searching based on the primary email address. Keep an eye out for more improvements to this feature soon.
Fixes
- We resolved a discrepancy in forum subscription preferences. When users subscribed to selected topics within a forum and later updated subscription preferences through his or her profile, the updates weren’t respected. Contact preferences within the profile now display “Select Topics” when only a few topics are set to send subscription notifications and any updates to those preferences will be respected.
- For frequent readers of the release notes, one more quotation mark issue was identified. This time the membership section of forms was the culprit - these quotation mark issues are now all put to bed. For real this time.
- When editing registrations to make a price change, the modal always defaulted to creating a credit memo, even if more funds were due. We now default the modal to create a credit memo if a refund is due, or an invoice if the submission balance increases.
- In our last release, we introduced a bug that caused changes to event dates not to be reflected on the calendar. Apologies for the trouble - we’ve resolved the issue now.
- For member types that base pricing on a selection set, forms were not respecting the order of the selection set values. Now they do.
7/6/16
What’s New
- We’ve updated the workflow for cancelling a registrant. Previously, administrators had the option to cancel a registrant from the registrant list or the submission. Cancelling from the registrant list led to errors because the submission also needed to be updated to ensure invoices and credit memos were correct. To help prevent errors and to eliminate a step, we’ve updated the workflow so cancellations are all processed by editing the submission. Cancelling a registrant will now trigger the invoice/credit memo create modal when a pricing field is included in the registration.
- Related to the above, we’ve added a return to registrant list button to the submission view, making it more convenient to update multiple submissions successively.
Fixes
- Members in graced status had minor display issues within the admin view of the profile. These have been corrected so graced members display properly to admins.
- Selection sets with quotation marks in the options created data issues in forms. These are now handled gracefully. We've been tracking down similar issues over the past few weeks and this wraps up the last known issues.
6/21/16
What's New
- After many requests, we’re happy to announce that we’ve opened more visibility into profile updates. When viewing profiles as an administrator, there’s a new modal which displays the date and time of the most recent attribute edits and who made the change(s). This information has been tracked for the previous six months and is now available for all organizations. Additionally, the Advanced Search has been updated to support searching by Last Modified Date.
- The Advanced Search received another update for event searching. Administrators now have the ability to search for profiles that have not registered for an event, making it easier to market events while excluding people who have already registered.
- If someone tried to join using an email address that had been associated with a deleted profile, the system would prevent that user from creating a new profile. People trying to join using an email address associated with a deleted profile are now free to do so without interruption.
Fixes
- When a key contact had already registered for an event, forms were preventing that key contact from taking the form again to register other linked profiles, despite the form being set to allow multiple submissions. This has been corrected so we respect the multiple submissions setting, even for key contacts.
- The invoice line item setting was not being respected for Number type fields in forms. As a result, the field label always displays for the invoice description. The line item description setting will now be respected on invoices moving forward.
- When editing events in Calendar Management, there is a warning modal about each occurrence of a repeating event being updated. This warning modal displayed every time an event was edited, even if the event in question did not recur. The message now only displays when the event is set to recur.
- Linked profiles that had been moved to deleted status were still available to be renewed through the membership section of forms. Moving forward, key contacts will not be able to see these deleted profiles when renewing.
- For organizations using the Social Community, two buttons appear on front-end profiles: “block” and “report” which only apply to Social Community features. These buttons, however, were always appearing on front-end profiles to logged in users. These buttons now only display when the Social Community is enabled.
- Invoices received several updates:
- Addresses now align properly in standard sized envelopes
- Line breaks inserted in the Footer/Terms area are now respected, without the need to use HTML
- Payment details are now included in the PDF version of the invoice
6/7/16
What’s New
- We’ve released the second half of the invoice description update so it now holds true for number fields too. Invoices for event registrations will now include the registrants name when the pricing is based on a number field. This was previously added for selection sets, but will now be true for both cases.
- We made a change to how we handle messages sent to elists from an email address that isn't subscribed to the list. Previously, we sent a rejection email to the list administrator and the email address that sent the rejected message. Sending a message to the original sender's email address was being abused by spammers as a means to confirm email addresses. In order to prevent the abuse, we now only send the rejection notice to the list administrator.
Fixes
- Previously, credit memos created ad hoc from the profile list or by editing a submission incorrectly displayed an extra negative sign. These credit memos now display properly, just like credit memos created from the invoice list.
- We fixed data issues that arose when a user taking a membership form had an apostrophe in their name. In these cases, pricing fields outside of the member-type pricing were not correctly saving when those fields were also part of the membership section.
- On front-end saved searches, if attribute security was set for ‘no access’ for the Public group, the public would see the number of profiles included in the search results with no data in the directory cards. We now return '0 Results' in this case as one would expect.
- On the transaction report, ad hoc invoices that included $0 line items would remain in open status. We now convert these to Paid status upon creation.
- The PDF version of invoices was cutting off after 4 lines in the Organization Information section, even though the admin interface let templates include an unlimited number of lines. We now prevent admins from entering more than six lines in that section and we will display 6 lines in the PDF version.
- When resending invoices from the invoice list, after the first resend, the page needed to be refreshed before other invoices could be resent. The unnecessary step of refreshing has been eliminated so invoices can be resent without interruption.
5/24/16
What's New
- Before this update, the form revenue report only included pricing before discount codes were applied. We've added two additional rows to this report to make clear the total of discounts per field and the total revenue after discounts, in addition to the total revenue before discounts. The breakdown of revenue per member type still reflects the pre-discounted amounts.
- We've improved the performance of the Admin Home loading. Previously, this page could take several seconds (or longer) to load because the Aged Receivables report would run every time the page was loaded. We now run this report once a day and store the values so the entire Admin Home page loads faster.
- For selection sets with pricing that are part of an event section, the invoice line item will be preceded by the registrant's name. The descriptions will now read “~#Registrant Name | First#~ ~#Registrant Name | Last#~: ~#Field Label#~ - ~#Field Value#~”. We're working on adding a similar change to number fields within event sections which will be live soon.
Fixes
- When exporting form submissions for a form that has multiple address labels enabled, the State and Country fields would not export correctly. Both columns in the export showed the values that had been selected in the first label. We now export these labels correctly, respecting each label's value.
- When editing submissions and issuing a new invoice or credit memo, the modal displayed a system ID for the existing invoices, making it difficult to reference them. We now display the invoice number shown throughout the other areas of the product.
- Within elist management, the count of subscribers included profiles that were in deleted status. We now exclude these profiles from the count.
- When downloading event details for an event, Outlook would display incorrect formatting. We've corrected the issue to preserve the formatting set in the event details.
- When copying articles or menu items, group permissions were not being maintained for the new content. We now preserve the permissions when copying articles or menu items so they do not need to be manually set.
- If a member type had two custom state attributes assigned, but a group only had access to view one of them, profiles in that member type would not load entirely on the admin side. We now support this configuration so all of the profiles will load.
- PDF exports from the invoice list were not purging from the exports page under the reports menu. We now make these exports available for seven days, similar to profile and submission exports.
- Profiles in deleted status were being included in the renewal calculations for some organizational member types. We've resolved this issue so deleted profiles are excluded from the renewal process: they won't appear on invoices or the dues calculation for automatically generated invoices.
- When resending a single invoice from the invoice list, the email address would not automatically populate. We now pre-populate this field, saving the manual entry.
- When editing a label or email or confirmation page in forms, clicking 'Cancel' would not revert the text to the previous version. While the changes weren't actually saved, the editor still displayed the changes that were intended to be cancelled. When 'Cancel' is clicked in those areas, we now display the previous text which is also the version that will display to users taking the form.
5/12/16
What's New
- We've updated the ordering of the admin profile list columns. Moving forward, these columns will default to Last Name, First Name, Organization, Email, Expiration Date and Member Type. As a result, the default sorting of the profile list will be by Last Name, First Name and Organization which better aligns with product usage.
Fixes
- Along with the updated ordering of the columns in the admin profile list, saved searches linked as menu items on the front-end of websites will now sort by Last Name, First Name then Organization. Previously these were also sorting by First Name then Last Name.
- We fixed an issue where some invoices could not be manually recent from the invoice list. Previously, dues invoices and invoices that had been created by an admin taking a form on behalf of a user with the option to disable notifications checked could not be resent. We no longer prevent these invoices from being manually recent from the invoice list.
5/10/16
What’s New
- Earlier this spring we began rolling out a feature to include the line item descriptions from invoices in the information sent to Moolah and Authorize.net. During the rollout, this feature stopped working for all organizations, even those who had the feature enabled during beta and early launch. We have fixed the issue globally and we now include descriptions for credit card transactions processed through Moolah and Authorize.net for all organizations.
Fixes
- Previously, MemberClicks would send a system payment ID to Moolah and Authorize.net in the Invoice/Order ID field. We now send over the invoice number from each organization’s MemberClicks site, making it easier to find the invoice for each transaction in MemberClicks.
- Front-end profiles now have email addresses displayed as mailto: links. When these links are clicked, the profile viewer’s default email client (Outlook, etc.) will open.
- The permission to add elist members was not being properly enforced on the front-end, making it available to more users than it should have. This ability has been fixed so only administrators with the Community Admin permission can add users to an list.
- When inserting a site link to a form, the link did not work if the form had an apostrophe in the title. This has been fixed so links to forms with apostrophes work as one would expect.
- When setting up locations within the event calendar, long URLs would break the display within the single event view. Rather than display the full URL, we now display “View additional details” with the link embedded.
- Website attributes required the member/prospect to type http:// before the URL for the link in the profile to properly work. The system didn’t inform the user that this was a requirement, so we now provide support for Website attributes that are formatted http://, https://, www. or just the domain without any preceding formatting.
- If a committee was set to inactive status and an administrator posted a message to that committee, a notification was still sent to committee members. We now only send a notification if the committee is in active status.
- When a selection set was added to the administrative custom attribute view, the selections within the attribute reverted to alphabetical order rather than the order set in attribute management. This area of the product now respects the custom order of selection set values.
- We had a few cases where lapsed and deleted profiles were able to send and receive elist messages. We’ve added preventative measures to stop this from happening moving forward.
- Pound signs in attribute names were causing issues in various parts of the system because we use ##attribute name## as the identifier for a merged attribute value. We now prevent pound signs from being used in attribute names. Attributes already having a pound sign in the name have not been altered by this change.
- The Renew button on the front-end of profiles was appearing to more profiles than it should. This has been fixed so it only appears to administrators and the profile owner.
- Authorize.net limits the Organization field to 50 characters, preventing invoices tied to Authorize.net from being paid if the member had a Organization attribute populated with more than 50 characters. We now truncate the data we send to Authorize.net at 50 characters so payments can be processed for these members.
- Invoices could not be created for members that had Organization names with more than 100 characters. We now support Organization names up to 300 characters, far exceeding the largest character count we have in the system for that attribute.
- When creating a notification in member type settings, we displayed ghost text that did not save to the database. If that text was not overwritten, membership notifications would be sent with no subject line. We now save the ghost text if it is not overwritten so messages are not sent with no subject line.
5/4/16
Fixes
- Links to the View All directory view were not sorting correctly. This has been fixed so the results now sort by Last Name, First Name then Organization.
- Selection sets that were merged into directory templates were displaying brackets around the values. These brackets no longer appear.
4/26/16
What's New
- View All menu items now display with the responsive directory templates which were introduced with the Directory Search feature last month.
- Invoice template emails can now be turned on/off individually, per template. Previously, each invoice template had a global on/off toggle for all of the messages.
Fixes
- When a payment processor declined a credit card payment, MemberClicks was not displaying the message returned by the payment processor, leaving the form-taker wondering what went wrong. Forms now display the error message that the processor sent to MC.
- Profile imports would silently stall if a name field was empty in the import file. We now continue the import when a name field is empty in the import file.
- We fixed an error in the dollar amounts displayed in the Event Registrant form report.
-
When editing a submission to make price changes, the Save button would disable after checking and unchecking the discount box. It now properly enables/disables when it should.
-
Using Site Links in the event calendar to link to a form, the generated link omitted 'https' causing a broken link to be inserted. We've fixed Site Links in the event calendar so it inserts 'https' for forms links, making it work like Site Links in others areas of the product.
-
When invoices were voided, we were sending out a notification email. Typically one wants to void an invoice without automatically notifying the member, so we've fixed this issue, allowing admins to silently void invoices.
4/12/16
What’s New
- For customers using Authorize.net, refunds can now be processed directly through MemberClicks without having to log into the Authorize.net gateway.
Fixes
- Menu items with the same title are now allowed. Previously, administrators would receive an error message when trying to create a menu item with an identical title.
- Built-in attributes for organization profiles were not displaying on the front-end when viewing a single profile. Now they do.
- Due to an issue with attribute security, only ASAs could edit the Organization field for organization profiles. We've corrected the issue so attribute security settings are respected and non-ASAs are able to edit the Organization field as long as they have attribute security configured to do so.
- We corrected several issues with form submissions when a default value was set and the form-taker made no changes to the field. These issues were especially prevalent when the field also had pricing associated in an event section.
- When selecting fields for export from the submission list or registrant list, the list of fields to select was alphabetical. This is now ordered by the display of fields on the form and is consistent with the order of columns in the export.
- When renewing from one auto-renew member type into another auto-renew member type, the original invoice was now voiding out, keeping the member in the original member type. This was occurring in front-end profile renewals, but working correctly in renewals through forms. This now works correctly in both form renewals and profile renewals.
- Member types with rollover dates configured were not always properly rolling over into the following year. Now they are.
- Since our last release, names and addresses were being excluded from the information sent over to Authorize.net for credit card processing. This information is now being sent. Organizations using Authorize.net for credit card processing will see this information in the gateway moving forward.

What's New
- We've added a workflow for creating invoices and/or credit memos while editing form submissions. Previously, administrators had to create ad hoc invoices for submission edits that involved pricing. This caused the submission balance to remain open, despite payments to the ad hoc invoice. More details can be found here.

What's New
- We've revamped front-end directory searching for site visitors and members. Administrators are now able to create Directory Search Pages, providing simpler search experiences. More details about the feature can be found here.

What's New
-
Email, Address and Phone built-ins are now available in the Edit Columns modal. Previously we only made the primary available which limited the usefulness of the built-ins for administrative queries.
-
Similarly, we've added primary and organization address built-ins as available criteria in the admin advanced search. Searching using the primary attribute will return both individual and organization profiles (e.g. give me a list of all members and member companies with Georgia as the primary state).
-
The order of submission and registrant list exports has been updated. Previously these areas exported their fields in alphabetical order, which caused a lot of pain and confusion. These two export areas have been updated so they keep the order that was created on the form. Whatever order the fields display are on the form will be the order of columns in the export.
Fixes
-
The number of committee members displayed on the admin side would include profiles that had been deleted, leading to inaccurate numbers. We now exclude deleted profiles from this count.

What's New
-
Admins can now change the member type for organization members. Whether it's in mass from the profile list or data import, or individually when viewing a specific profile, we'll automatically void out any open renewal invoices and give them a clean start in the new MT's renewal cycle. Two additional points of interest:
-
MemberClicks prevents mass changes from disrupting an organization being linked to an individual profile. In other words, if you tag linked individuals, they will only change member type if their organization profile changes its member type. If you only tag org member types, all of the linked individuals will follow their org to the destination member type.
-
Any member type change needs to happen on the organization level if the profiles are linked.
-
We've added columns for organization member types in profile owner attribute security. This means we now support merging in profile data into emails sent to organizations, including renewal notifications.
-
In the plain old attribute security page (not profile owner), we've added support for primaries in org member types. For example if you merge in a primary attribute into a directory results template, we would only merge info in for individual profiles. Now this will also work for organization profiles with attribute security configured.

What's New
-
Increase modal size on selections set and payment report filters modal. The searchable filter list on these two reports now displays more options, increasing the usability of the drop-down.
-
Put most recent on top for submissions and invoices when viewing the profile. The most recent invoices and submissions are the most relevant, so we’re putting them at the top of the lists moving forward.
-
Ability to set site link documents to open in a new window ("page target”). Now should can have these links open in a new page/tab rather than replace the current active window, without editing the HTML.
-
Default number of profiles that appear in profile list. We’ve increased this to 25 per page. We’ve also expanded the available options in the Profile List to 5, 10, 25, 50 and 100.
-
Added Unordered List in the forms list editor in addition to the Ordered List option. Previously only OL was available as a button in the forms editor.
-
Add event list as an option in Site Links. The Event List was previously only an option to be added as a new menu item. Now you can link to it using Site Links.
-
Expand height of text area fields on front-end forms. If you added a text area field to forms, the front-end displayed a smaller vertical height than what you would see in the form editor. We’ve increased this height to make it easier for form takers to see what they have been typing.
-
Update text when pending members try to log in: "Your profile is currently pending approval. Please contact the administrator with any questions." Previously, this message indicated that the member had the wrong username and password combination, even if they were correct.
-
Editing selection set options in attributes - remove the necessity to click the check box every time. We’ve removed the save and cancel buttons because they were causing confusion by requiring a double save (both the inline and the main page save button had to be clicked). Now, edits will be saved when the main page is saved.
Fixes
-
Label on user's front-end profile reads Company when it should be Organization. We’ve updated this text so Organization is consistently used throughout the product.
-
500 error thrown when trying to view individual click-thrus in message report. This now works correctly, without the error.
-
Committee messages don't respect line breaks. Committee messages were sent out as a mass of unbroken text, even if line breaks had been inserted by the post’s author. We now maintain the line breaks so formatting isn’t lost upon message receipt.
-
Lapsed users choosing not to renew should receive public/prospect pricing. If a member in lapsed status taking a form chooses not to renew their membership, they will get public/prospect pricing. If they choose to renew their membership, they will receive the member pricing benefit.
-
Permission error thrown on front end when taking a form that you don't have permission to view is sticking. The error message wouldn’t go away, disrupting the user’s ability to take the form.
-
Invoices are now associated with individuals and organizations. We had some problems where submissions and invoices created by linked profiles through forms weren’t being associated with the organization profile as well as the individual profile. These are now correctly associated so admins can see the activity of all of the linked profiles, through the tabs in the org profile.
-
Ad hoc invoices now appear in the org profile. Ad hoc invoices attached to org profiles were only showing on the invoice list. For invoices moving forward, they will also show in the corresponding org profile. We have also fixed previously created invoices so they appear as expected.
-
Admin renewals were failing when the membership year ended on an unusual date (2/27, for example). These now work as expected.
-
MemberClicks was occasionally assigning 2017 as the expiration date for new members, depending on the proration schedule. We’ve accounted for various proration schedules so the expiration dates are appropriately handled.
-
Invoice tags don't hold when moving from page to page. Tagging an invoice and moving to the next page of the list would cause the tag to be lost. Now it works as one would expect.
-
Tagging and emailing multiple invoices on the invoice list had stopped working. It now works again.
-
Downloading an invoice from the single invoice view didn't work since the last release. It now works.
-
PDFing many invoices would timeout. We’ve updated this feature so the PDF generates in the background and can be retrieved from the export center, similar to profile and submission exports.

Fixes
-
The spacing of address info on invoices wasn't consistent between the org info and the customer info. Now it is.
-
Merge fields weren't working in articles that displayed on Front-page or Category Blog layouts. Now they do.
-
Editing text fields on submissions weren't always saving correctly. The changes would revert, erasing the edits and preventing admins from correcting typos, for example. This is now fixed so the edits properly save.
-
The count of tagged users in the registrant list wasn't consistent from the list to the modals that appears when contact registrants. This has been fixed so the count is accurate and consistent.
-
Tagging all on the registrant list ignored any filters the admin had applied. Now tagging will take the filters into account, as one would expect.
