What is it?
The profile list displays all of your profile records in list form. From the profile list actions can be applied to the profiles.
How to Access
From the Admin Home page, click Profile List in the top right corner.
Manually Adding Profiles
The Profile List area allows you to manually add Individual or Organizational profiles to your database. This practice would be used to create a profile rather than have the member take the application form to create a profile.
Click "Add an Individual" or "Add an Organization" in the top right corner of the Profile List.
Adding a Profile
When manually adding a profile you will need to select which Member Type you are wanting to add the profile to.
Note: When manually adding a profile:
- Dues for membership are not charged
- You will need to manually fill in the Expiration Date
- All Attributes must manually be filled out by opening the profile and populating Attributes
Best Practices tip: Rather than manually creating a profile, take the membership application Form on behalf of the member to create a new member profile. This practice ensures that all the information you want to collect for the profile is gathered, the expiration date is populated, and the dues for that membership level are charged. - Member Type
- Attribute
- Event
- Form
- Status
Saved Searches and Profile Lists
What is it?
Saved Search: A dynamic search will be ever updating as additional members who meet that search's criteria are added.
Profile List: Is a static search which means it will produce the same profiles each time it is pulled. It will not update.
How to Access?
Saved Searches can be retrieved by clicking "Manage Saved Searches".
Click the down arrow to display the searches you have saved under the "Search Criteria". Scroll down to view your saved "Profile Lists" to display your status searches.
To edit or delete a Saved Search, click on the words "Manage Saved Search".
This area allows you to rename or delete your Saved Searches and Profile Lists, as well as change your Column headers.
Edit Columns
What is it? Editing Columns allows you to edit the display of your search results. The default will display as shown. You can customize this view to pull in the information you want the profile list to show.
You can add additional columns to this layout, or remove from.
Tip: This is a great way to find blank information
Tagging Profiles
What is it?
To perform a certain action to one or more profiles, you can tag profiles to grab them and then complete the necessary action.
How To Access?
From the Profile List you can click a check mark next to each profile you want to tag. To tag multiple profiles, you can click "Tag This Page" or "Tag All #". Once you make your selection, you will see the total number of tagged profile reflected.
Once you tag profiles, they will remain tagged until you release them by clicking "Untag All", or utilize the "Untag Profiles After An Action" option.
Tip: Always make sure you click "Untag" after you complete your task to avoid accidentally keeping those profiles tagged for your next task.
