How do I do it?
Step One- Build your form, and collect submissions
Our Review Panel add-on leverages our existing Forms- something you know very well and are comfortable using. You can include a Review Panel section (the data you want reviewed) in a stand-alone form, or as part of your conference or event form.
To get started, head to your Forms List and create a new form, or opt to edit an existing form. The next step will be to add the Review Panel section to the form (remember, this is where you collect the data that you want reviewers to see). You will find Review Panel under the "Presentation" tab of Add Form Elements.
In the Element Properties of your Review Panel, you can:
- Name the Section
- Name what the Review is for
- Enable the section, allowing users to Submit
- Hide submitter name from reviewers
- Determine Group Permissions for who can submit
- Determine Group Permissions for who can Review Submissions
Important setup note for Reviewing
The following 5 elements are the only ones that can be displayed to reviewers, and in order for a reviewer to see them they must be included in the Review Panel section of the form:
|Submission Category||This will be selected by Submitters, but is also filterable by Reviewers. This is included in the section by default.|
|Submission Title||Name of the submission that is displayed to reviewers|
|Name||This is optional, but imperative if you need the submitter name tied to the submission. This is especially critical if prospects or non-members will be submitting.|
|Review Panel Submission Text||You can include 0-many of these elements as you would like, and each will be displayed to Reviewers. You will have to add these manually as desired.|
|Review Panel File Upload||Like Review Panel Submission Text elements, you can include 0-many as you desire, and each will be displayed to Reviewers.|
As a best practice, we recommend collecting all of your submissions and unpublishing the Form prior to opening up the list for your reviewers.
Step Two- Enable your review committee to review submissions
When you're ready for your reviewers to dive in and provide comments and ratings, you will want to make a Menu Item specifically for them.
Based on the Permissions you've set in your Review Panel section in Form Builder, as well as the Menu Item, your reviewers can now go to the front-end to address the submissions.
By clicking on the Submission Title, your reviewers can both leave and view Comments.
Your reviewers will also have the opportunity to leave a rating score between 1-5.
Step Three- View the review results, notify necessary parties, and continue planning your conference
When all is said and done, you can view the final results of your reviewer's efforts on the back-end by going to your Submission List. You'll see an icon for Review Panel where your results await.
In the Review Panel List, you'll be able to see the number of Total Comments, and the Average Total Score for each submission. Just like your Submission List, you can tag your submissions from here to export the details from the Form, as well.
