I am assuming that the base price will be crossed out and the new fee will show on the payment page.  Should the payment page appear at all if the amount due is $0?

Hi Joyce - The amount due will show on the summary page, where you can enter the discount code. I included a screenshot below showing what the page will look like once the discount code has been applied.

If the total owed after the discount code has been applied is $0, the person taking the form will hit the confirmation page right after the summary page, skipping the payment page all together.

Is it possible to do a discount code on membership?  This seems to only work for events.

Hi Jeanine - It's not currently possible to offer a discount on membership dues. This is something we have on our roadmap for future addition, though!

Is there a way to see which specific individuals redeem coupon codes?

Nevermind, I found it after pulling the list of submissions.  Would be a nice feature to have indiviuals listed under the Discount Code Usage Report, instead of just a bulk #.

I'd like to second the ability do a discount code on membership charges.

    Kinsey:

Despite using a discount code, when we take the form for a member or speaker, it still sends the registrant an email stating the full amount (not less the discount) with an invoice if they owe extra, which can be confusing if they owe say $60 for a dinner ticket, but their email (without opening the invoice) says Submitted Total: $235.

Is there a way to set the notification email to reflect the discount? Thanks!

EEK!  Is there a way to get around this for offering a membership discount? We are planning to offer a $50 discount on membership this coming week and I happily agreed to set it up, not realizing that the discount codes won't work for membership.

How do I get around this? Should I set up a separate membership form using the reduced rates? (Wouldn't that screw up our membership system?) Do I give them a refund afterwards? There's got to be a way to do this.

    HELP, please!

I realize I should have been a bit more specific in my question above. Specifically, the discount we are offering is $50 off for new members who join at the Introductory level next week. How can I set this up?

    Hi Linda,

Our group offers a new member rate that's discounted, and we do it in five categories. We did this by creating a member type called First-Year Member. We have designations a new applicant has to fill out in order to get the right price: US Member, Mexico, etc. So they pay the discounted price, and then, as part of our membership screening, we change their group type to the one that will apply ever after -- and so they get the regular rate.

I've attached a screen shot of the pricing system, the lower part of the "edit setings" for our first-year member type. You find it in Directory/Member Types.

    Hope this helps!

     Hi Kinsey,

Since you last posted, is the discount on memberships still on the road map?

Hey Rosana! A discount on memberships is still on the road map. You can keep up with updates and releases as they come out here: https://help.memberclicks.com/hc/en-us/sections/206660147-Product-Updates

Is there an option for a flat percentage off (as in MemberClicks Classic) and I'm just missing it?

Hello Ryan! At this time, there is not a flat percentage off option for Discount Codes. While I've heard this feedback before, I still encourage you to submit as well, as it gives our Product Team a better idea of what folks would find most beneficial: https://portal.prodpad.com/6711

I'm trying to set up a discount code for prospects (who are members of another organization) to register for our conference at our member rate.  In the beginning of the form, as prospects they are charged a higher registration rate that I set up in member types.  In setting up the discount code, it only shows the base registration rate which is the member rate and not the higher prospect rate.  So, I allowed the base rate for prospects. When I tried to apply the discount code on a test submission, nothing happened.  The form charged the higher prospect rate which was correct but didn't reduce it with the discount code.  I would really like to use a discount code for this rather than any logic.  Thanks!

Hello Sara! When setting up the Discount Code, you create a column for Prospects/Public similar to Member Type Pricing. Even when you're putting in the same Base amount, it will save and give someone using that code the appropriate amount - so in your case, your Prospects who use that code should be getting Member Type pricing. If they are not, please reach out to our Help team at help@memberclicks.com or 404-879-2800, we'd be happy to dig into your set-up!

Please move the discount code for membership higher up on the food chain. This would be really helpful for us as we like to offer discounts to prior attendees.

We provide a discount for first time attendees during our annual convention registration. Members also have the ability to register their linked profiles since there are usually multiple attendees per organization. The discount has to apply to all member types and non-members as well, since any attendee could be a first-time attendee.

We have had a few cases where the discount reduced the registration fee for each attendee (even if not eligible). If a linked profile registering multiple attendees uses a discount code, will it apply to all registrants on that transaction?

    Thanks!

Hello Natalie! The Discount Code is applied to all registrants, as at this time all registrants get the same pricing as the user taking the Form. If you'd like to see other options, be sure to leave us some feedback!
