    Hi Eric,

This release only pertains to front-end searches and we are not developing to create functionality for the back-end at this time.  We do not have a timeline in place to release back-end, since we have massive upgrades coming with Invoicing, User Search, Database, and Forms.

Thanks and please feel free to reach out should you have any more ideas!  Hopefully, you will still find value with the front-end search and continue to contribute ideas for the back-end.  Should members vote it up in the ideas forum, we could easily bump it ahead of other needed functionality.

    Jeff,

Thanks for the response. I just want to say how disappointing I find this. I've been waiting for this needed feature since we joined MemberClicks, and it has been labeled as "planned" for all that time. It never once occurred to me that Memberclicks would implement this for end-users but not give the same search capabilities to back-end administrators. When we want to email members about an upcoming event, we need zip code radius searching; I can't imagine this isn't true for many other MemberClicks sites. I've been telling my team this feature is coming soon for a long time, but now we're stuck without it, indefinitely. Since the code to do zip code radius searching has been written, I hope you'll re-think the decision not to add it to the back-end. This is just one of many areas where the back-end searching is inadequate or cumbersome -- there are many threads in the Ideas forum requesting enhancements to back-end searching -- so hearing that this isn't even on the agenda or drawing board is disheartening.

"When we want to email members about an upcoming event, we need zip code radius searching; I can't imagine this isn't true for many other MemberClicks sites."...this is really important to our organization too. Could you please reconsider adding this feature to the backside?

@Eric and Michelle: Right now, we don't have a timeline for implementing radius searching on the back-end, but we're always open to feedback.  For the initial release, improving how site visitors and members search the directory is the primary goal and we'll continue to expand and improve upon that as we move forward.
