This will show you the steps involved in setting menu item permissions. Menu item permissions (along with article and category permissions) dictate which users are able to view the content in your site.
Access Menu Permissions within a single Menu Item
From the Menu Manager menu, click on an article.
Within the menu item, use the Group Access permissions on the righthand side of the screen to assign permissions to each of the applicable groups.
You can also assign permissions from the Menu Manager by clicking the white "Permissions" lock in the top righthand corner of the screen.
Assign permissions for each group who should be able to view the menu item(s), then Save.
Access Menu Item Permissions
From the Menu Item Manager menu, select "Permissions"
Set Menu Item Permissions
- Quick Set: Checking this box will check/uncheck all boxes in that row
- Menu Item: This is a list of all menu items for the particular menu
- Groups: Each database group will be listed in this section
The boxes on the right indicate which groups are able to view each menu item - if the box is checked, the group has permission.
Save the Settings
When finished, click "Save" in the menu bar
