I am working on a parent/child registration form.  How do I get the child's user name to appear on the child profile page?

Hi Cecelia - The child profiles will automatically display on the "register linked profiles" page with this type of form.  When the parent member submits page 1, any of their linked child profiles will show up - they then have the option to check 1 or more of them to register.

This sounds really useful. Is it possible for the "parent" to say register a "child" that already exists in our database for an event?

Heather - parent-child functionality will allow one member, a parent, to register additional members, their children, who already exist in the database and are linked to them. The first step to a parent child setup is restructuring your database so that there is one parent  group and one child group. During that process, you'll also tie together the parent and child profiles so that people from the same organization (as an example) are linked.

Here is an article with additional details. If you have other questions, feel free to reach out to our Help Team at 404-879-2800 and they'll be glad to walk you through what that setup looks like.

Hi there, for my parent-child application, we allow as many 'children' as a user wants. Some have 1, some have 3+. When I tested the form, I couldn't add only one secondary profile because it's set for 3. Is there a way I can skip the 'secondary profile information' page when it's not needed?

Elizabeth - You should be able to add a 0 or none option as the first item in the Membership Type selection. That way, a person is defaulted to having no children, but can select 1, 2, or 3 if they choose. If you aren't able to add that option, please feel free to give our Help Team a call at 404-879-2800 or send an email to help@memberclicks.com so that we can dig in.
