How do I make the attribute show up in the member's profile?

Hi Christine - To make an attribute show up in member profiles you first want to make sure the attribute is assigned to the appropriate groups.  You'll find attribute assignment settings under Database > Attribute Management > Attribute Assignments.  Once that step is complete you can adjust Attribute Security (this is where you set "permissions" for who can view/edit each attribute) which is located under Database > Attribute Management > Attribute Security.  This article has more information on Attribute Security.

Is there a limit to the number of attributes we can create?

Janee, there's no limit to the number of attributes you can create.

Do attributes have the option of being a "Select Box Other" like Fields do, so users can enter text if they select "Other"? I only see that Attributes can be "Selection Set" without the option of adding text to the "other" selection.

Dafina - Right now there isn't a selection set other type attribute. My best suggestion is to create the selection set, then create a corresponding Plain Text field for the 'other.' On the form, instead of using a selection set other, drop on the selection set and the 'other' as well. I hope that helps!

I would like to copy a group of attributes - I have 12 attributes that I need 5 times each - very cumbersome to be doing them one at a time.

    Is there a way?

Hi Sharon - While copying individual attributes is possible, there isn't a way to copy multiple attributes at once. Sorry about that!
