- Area 1: Setting up renewals through a member's profile
- Change the renewal option based on 1 of 3 options
- Area 2 (optional): Profile Views Settings
Welcome to New Member Profile! While there is nothing you need to do to have the New Member Profile view enabled, there a few new areas admins will want to set up.
These set-up steps will ensure a seamless experience for members when they view their profiles.
Feel free to watch the video and/or read over the steps below:
Area 1: Setting up renewals through a member's profile
Admins will want to review every single member type option available, to make sure profile renewals are set properly.
- In the Admin Dashboard, navigate to Member Types under the Database Tab.
- Go to the settings section for each member type and find the following section:
-
Change the renewal option based on 1 of 3 options
- Toggle off the button "Allow members to renew from their profiles"
- If the specific member type doesn't need to renew, turn off that feature.
- (example, honorary members who do not renew)
- Leave the toggle turned on and select "Renew using Member Profile"
- If this option is selected, members will get the option to renew via an invoice
- When a member sees the "Renew Now" button in their profile, it will direct them to their open renewal invoice
- Leave the toggle turned on and select "Redirect Members to a URL"
- If this option is selection, admins can paste in a URL to a specific form.
- When members select "Renew Now" in their profile, it will redirect them to the URL provided
- Toggle off the button "Allow members to renew from their profiles"
Area 2 (optional): Profile Views Settings
In the Admin dashboard, under database, there is a new section called Profile Views.
While this section is not required to be setup for members, it can be edited to improve the appearance of the member profile view.
Changes made to this page will autosave.
In profile Views you can edit 3 items:
- Toggle on or off whether the continuing education tab should appear to users in the profile area
- If your organization does not manage or track CE's, feel free to leave this tab turned off
- Change the menu and button colors, as well as the font colors
- Reorder the attributes that are visible to your users
- Note: Some default attributes such as the member's name cannot be reordered and will not appear on this list
If you update your Profile Color Theme, and change a hex code, the previous hex code will not be saved. If you update a hex code and click SAVE, a warning will pop up with the original hex codes. Copy and save them if you want to revert back at a later date.
