If you have too many field options on any given multiple-choice item to manually enter, you can add all of the field options at once by uploading an Excel file that contains the options you need.
You may use the template (located at the bottom of this article) to upload your field options. This template contains a number of settings to adjust – Only “Text” (The text for the field option) is mandatory, the rest are optional. A full list of column settings are as follows:
- Text – This is required, is the text that appears on the form for each option.
- Value – This is optional, if the field value is different from the text that displays on the form. If you leave this empty, the field value will default to “Text”.
- Selected – This setting allows you to mark one of the field options as pre-selected when the form loads. Values for this setting can be “True” or “False”. If left empty, the default is “False”
- Date Range – If you have date ranges applied to the form, you can indicate the name of the specific range in this column. This must match the exact name of the date range in question.
- Limit – If you have limits for your field options, you would add the name of the limit in this column. This must match the exact name of the limit in question.
- Sold Out Message – This is used if you are uploading field options to a radio button that have limits associated with them. You can specify the exact message to display if the field option is sold out.
- Append Label – This is used if you are uploading field options to a radio button that have limits associated with them. Instead of a custom Sold Out message, when an item’s limit has been reached, a generic “sold out” message will be displayed along with the field option text appended to it. Values for this setting can be “True” or “False”. If left empty, the default is “False”.
- Sold Out Pop-Up – This is used if you are uploading field options to a drop-down list that have limits associated with them. You can specify the exact message to display if the field option is sold out.
- Remove From List - This is used if you are uploading field options to a drop-down list that have limits associated with them – any item that is sold out will automatically be removed as a selectable option on that list. Values for this setting can be “True” or “False”. If left empty, the default is “False”.
- Visible – This is used to toggle the visibility of the field option. Values for this setting can be “True” or “False”. If left empty, the default is “True”.
